Freemasons Cancer Car Program
Volunteer drivers in clean late-model cars provide safe, friendly transportation for those who need it!
The Freemasons Cancer Car Program has been operating for over 25 years driving people with cancer to and from their homes and primary cancer treatment centers in the Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and Richmond areas. This program is offered free of charge to these people. We offer the program in collaboration with the Canadian Cancer Society. The clients who use our service really appreciate the door to door service and the added value of not having to take public transport especially when they are not feeling well after treatments.
Our seven car Vancouver program runs five days a week out of our office at the corner of Ash and Tenth Avenue (Jean Barber Lodge). Our service runs two five hour shifts per day.
